"I believe people collect my pottery because it speaks to them on some personal level of beauty and understanding. I have always been drawn to the richness of details in natural objects and this is the major source of inspiration for my work.
I try to create pottery which makes one feel the same delight of discovery as seeing a unique wildflower, the luster of a beam of light on a shaded stream, or soft green moss on damp bark. This is accomplished with many glazes, the glass surface of the pottery, which are applied and fired in many ways, resulting in a synergy of form and finish."
